What is the South African International Mining and Engineering Machinery Show?
 
As the largest and most influential exhibition in South Africa's mining, construction machinery, electricity and industrial sectors, the South African International Mining Exhibition has influence dating back to South Africa and throughout Africa. Founded in 1972 and held every two years, the exhibition is organized by the South African Professional ExhibitionS Limited, a unit of the Montgomery Exhibition Group, based in the United Kingdom, with mining equipment, engineering machinery, mineral products and electrical equipment, machine tools and special vehicles as the main exhibits. After years of efforts, the exhibition has become one of the world's top level of mining exhibition, is Africa's largest international mining professional exhibition. Johannesburg is Africa's most prosperous city, with each exhibition attracting professionals from all over the world to exhibit and visit business. In 2014, the exhibition featured 865 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions on Both African soil and other continents, covering an area of 37,169 square meters (of which 25,000 square meters of indoor space). The world's major mineral resources and equipment manufacturing countries are to participate in the exhibition. Such as: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, Canada, Japan, India, South Korea, Sweden, Australia, South Africa, Zambia, Bozwana, Angola and so on, the visitors reached an unprecedented 38,104 people.
